Shane Miller was born in Cumberland, Maryland and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2013. At the end of 2016, he shifted from his career in physical therapy to painting full-time.

Since 2017, Shane's work has focused on exploring subconscious feelings through manifesting landscapes. The scenes typically don't depict a specific place and are often painted from memory and imagination.

He often says he wants the work to feel as if you are recalling a distant dream or memory.
